James Kemp

James “Jim” Kemp’s experience in the PVF industry didn’t come from classrooms or structured programs. It came from years of being in it, figuring things out, solving problems, and learning what works and what doesn’t.

He started out in a hands-on role, dealing with warehouse work and logistics before moving into sales. That shift gave him a different kind of understanding. He wasn’t just selling products; he was learning how they were used, what customers needed, and where things could go wrong.

Over time, he built strong knowledge around specifications, supplier relationships, and cost management. But more importantly, he learned how to simplify things. In an industry that can feel complicated, that ability matters.

Running his own supply house for twenty years gave him a deeper look into operations, inventory control, and how decisions affect both suppliers and contractors. It also showed him where most people struggle when they first enter the field.

Now leading Kemp Consulting LLC, he works with companies to improve systems and make smarter choices.

This book brings all of that together. It’s the kind of explanation he probably wished he had when he first started.
